Just can’t handle the jandal
It's an epidemic, I see women dressed impeccably from the ankles up, and then they're wearing flip flops. How can these people think flip flops look OK for anyplace except the beach??? There is a time and a place for them, and the office most certainly isn't it. Not only does it convey an unprofessional impression at the office, but the flips complete lack of foot support is bad for your feet and arches. Plus the slapping noises they make when people walk around the office is enough to drive anyone mad. So please leave your filthy flip flops at home and only bring them out for the beach. Trust me, no one at your office wants to see your dirty feet, nice pedicure or not.

But in their defense, the (primarily) women wearing their flippies to work provide those in the cubicle-farm enviro with an "early-distant-warning" system to help alert one to their impending presence.
True, if one resides in close proximity to a "traffic" area where one or more of these snap-snappy walkers is travling - particularly if the alerting status is moot, it can be somewhat inconvenient. However, rest assured that your counterparts are all quite happy to have some forewarning of thier impending presence, in the balance. As well, the volume adjustment on the iPod helps to alleviate the constant snapping.
Also, if one chooses so, the 'catty' observation relating to lack of arch support can be exended 10 to 20 years to the future of said flip-flopper to easily allow for the visualization of their slouching, hunched and ass-extended visage as they creep along moaning "if only I'd have worn something with some arch support when I was younger!"
OMG, whoever wrote the above, it's hillllarious! :P True true, the early warning is much appreciated but I still am not a fan of flippies in the workplace!
