My Tourette's is back
Hey sports fans, what kind of dumbass plans for the CFL Western Final to end right before a Canucks game? The BC Lions and the Canucks play right next door to one another; can you imagine the traffic snarl? Well, I was stuck right in the middle of it for over an hour trying to move 7 blocks. I was swearing up a storm and getting close to some serious road rage all because some idiot couldn’t stagger the sporting events a little better. This city really pisses me off sometimes. Oh, and why can’t people here merge properly?? One car goes, the next merges, one car goes, the next merges and so forth. It’s not really all that hard yet somehow, you people manage to F&$# it up on a daily basis!!!

perhaps if you were a bit more cognizent of what was going on in your neighbourhood you would know to avoid the high traffic areas during such times. It was all over the media!
Sorry but if you ACTUALLY read the blog, you would see that I was in San Francisco ALL week and had only just got home. Plus, I do not read the Vancouver Province or the trashy Sun.
Anonymous:
Some of us cannot avoid driving when we need to leave downtown.
Your comment is reminiscent of a joke:
Patient: "Doctor, it hurts when I do this."
Dr.: "Then stop doing that."
HILARIOUS!
Except it doesn't work if the patient was trying to walk.
Who is the idiot now?
Yeah, some people actually live in the downtown core and need to get out you know
Avoiding high traffic areas in Vancouver during an event is next to impossible. If you were a bit more cognizent of reality, you would know that!
I agree with the first Anon.- 2 huge events are in the Vancouver downtown and you get caught up in the traffic? Poor planning-anyone could figure out that for a couple of hours after the football ended traffic would of been a nightmare. During those times you avoid the traffic-simple!
I guess the internet, the radio airwaves, the TV, people driving around with flags on their cars, neighbours or friends, etc. would not of been of assistance or provided any clues? Usually you are correct in your assumptions on the BLOG but this time I hate to say it, but it was your own fault and poor planning on your part.
I work out at UBC and traffic management from the downtown core is only a click away.
Generally, I do not think that people in the West End are huge Lions fans, that is more of a Surrey thing (hence why I did not see flags or screaming bridge and tunnel people). It was not obvious the games were on until I was right beside BC and GM Place.
I had to get somewhere on the east side with a car load of stuff so I could not take the SkyTrain, the bus or even a cab. The weekend is my time and I choose to avoid the internet (seeing as I am on a computer 5 days a week all day at work) and tv (my choice).
Also, ANON (if that is your real name) why don't you post under your real name if you choose to slag? Hiding behind a computer is pretty lame *yawn*
Way to piss off a Lions fan JJ! Sore losers, go Rough Riiiiiiiders
For feck's sake anonim(i?), would you read the comments before you post? Two comments (1st and 6th) are exactly the same, save the length. If you don't have anything original to add then keep that blog finger in a holster.
PS. I don't know what part of your body you work out at UBC but it clearly interferes with normal brain function.
I'm just amazed that people live in this city and don't know such events are on-especially when we live in the downtown core. Also, don't recall calling anyone any names(along with the other anon)or making personal attacks .The only "negative" comments, if you can call them that' were about the poor planning and not knowing such events were going on., me thinks thow does protest too much!
I believe that it is "Thou protest.." not THOW protest...are you sure you work at out at UBC? Anyhow...Next time I take my car out of it's pristine garage, I will make sure to log into the internet, watch the news and listen to the radio waves ;) I need TomTom dammit!! (the minute to minute one I saw on TV on Monday)
To the last point, merging, yeah, what up with that?
