Be strong J.J., be strong

I have never really been one to eat crap but now that I am in the middle of my fitness regime trying to get myself summer-ready, I am finding my co-workers snacking habits to be that much more irritating. With a constant array of corn nuts, chips, Coke and candy, you guys are making it reeeeally difficult for me to stick to my diet. Cubeland has never been more miserable.

I feel your pain! My trick is to bring in hot-air popped popcorn with that new Becel spray with 0 calories. It totally satisfies the cravings and won't hit you too badly on the waistline. That and snap peas for a bit of a sugar rush. Now you know me...I'm all in favor of the A&W Bear Size my Chubby, but when you are trying to get rid of the extra (unwanted) bits (read:tires), smelling the salty-sweet-yummy goodness that is the snacking industry floating around the office ALL THE TIME....it IS hard not to indulge. Keep strong though. You've worked really hard to get to where you're at. Power on Sistah!

When I worked for a developer they introduced a policy of no eating at your desk, lunchroom only.

I thought it was draconian until others piped up. Apparently it is not uncommon for offices to restrict eating in the workplace.

One real estate office went as far as a total ban of cooked food because certain foods (subjectively) stank & gave the impression of an unprofessional office.

Personally I now agree with a no food office now that I've been on the other side.
